ASB cold shrink tape

ASB cold shrink tape is a heavy duty, self-vulcanizing duct sealing tape. It has an aluminium backing and a strong self-bonding layer (adhesive). The tape provides a sure and lasting moisture proof and sealing proof barrier against weather influences. It is impervious to wind, rain and snow when properly applied.

The tape is made up of two layers. The outer layer consists of a 40 micron aluminum foil, which ensures stiffening and good workability. The inner layer is made of a butyl rubber adhesive layer, which adheres to almost all surfaces.

The adhesive layer is shielded with a polyethylene layer. The total thickness is 0.95 mm ± 3% (standard) or 0.8 mm ± 3%.
